Good value for a global eSIM

I got the global eSIM for my trip. I compared a few providers and Zapme had a decent price, especially with the referral credit I found. It activated pretty easily and worked fine for basic browsing and maps. I felt like I got my money's worth and didn't overspend.

Saved me on my trip!

Wow, this Zapme global eSIM was a lifesaver on my last international trip! I needed data in multiple countries and didn't want to mess with local SIM cards. It was so easy to set up, literally just scanned a QR code and I was connected. The data speeds were great for all my maps and messaging. I even made a few video calls without any issues. Plus, I got a nice discount during their seasonal travel sale which made it even better. I will absolutely buy from Zapme again for my next journey and have already told my friends about it!

Smooth experience, decent support

I purchased a regional eSIM for Europe for my vacation last month. Ordering was straightforward on the website, just a few clicks. I got the confirmation email right away. Activation was also quite simple by scanning a QR code in the settings, took maybe a minute. Data speeds were good, mostly 4G/LTE as advertised. I had one small question about topping up and used their chat support; they responded within 10 minutes and were helpful. Overall, a solid service. I'd use Zapme again for sure.

hey, anyone used Zapme in Europe recently? planning a trip to France and Germany and wondering if the global eSIM works well there, especially for data speeds. like, is it actually 5G or just 4G max?

S Steve 1 month ago
Yeah, I used it in Italy and Spain last month. Got 5G most of the time in cities, definitely good enough for streaming and maps. Outside of major areas it dropped to 4G but still totally usable.

I think it depends on your phone and the local networks. My iPhone 14 Pro got 5G in Paris, no problem. Friend with an older Android was mostly on 4G.

Are Zapme eSIMs legit? I've seen some ads but never heard of them before. Don't want to get stuck without data when traveling.

Totally legit. Used them for a trip to Japan and then Mexico. Activation was super easy and data worked fine. Was a bit skeptical too but it was solid.

Yeah they're real. I've bought a few plans from them. No physical SIM though, just so you know. It's all digital.

Does Zapme ever do like, real sales? Like Black Friday or something? Or is it just referral codes all the time?

N Neil 1 month ago
They definitely have seasonal sales. I got like 15% off during their 'Digital Nomad Month' last year. Keep an eye out around holidays like Black Friday and summer.

Referral codes are pretty common, usually like $3-10 credit. But yeah, they do bigger promos for stuff like Spring Break or winter travel, saw one for 10% off a multi-country bundle a while back.

how easy is it to get a refund if the eSIM just doesn't work for some reason? like what if I buy it and my phone isn't compatible or something?

T Tara B. 2 months ago
I haven't had to return one myself, but I think their policy is pretty clear on their site. If it's a compatibility issue or a technical problem they can't fix, you should be good.

AFAIK, if you activate it and it just straight up doesn't connect, you can usually get a refund. But if you just change your mind after buying, that might be harder unless you haven't activated it yet.

I'm looking at Zapme but also Nomad and Airalo. Anyone tried all of them and have a preference? Mostly for data in Southeast Asia.

E Elena 2 months ago
I've used Airalo a lot, and Zapme once. Zapme felt pretty similar, maybe slightly better pricing for longer terms in some regions. No real difference in performance for me in Thailand.

Nomad was okay for me in Vietnam, but I found Zapme had better coverage options for a multi-country trip I did afterwards. Might depend on the exact countries you're hitting.
